Synaesthetic Theatre offered a rare opportunity for professional actors, singers, and improvisers to study with the incomparable Jonathan Hart Makwaia, an internationally renowned composer and performer and former musical director of the Roy Hart Theatre in London. Jonathan's work is rooted in Roy Hart Theatre training, focusing particularly on the dynamic between performer and form.

This intimate 2-day intensive workshop began by exploring one's voice "as-is" (range, character and natural music) and moved on to singing and other varieties of vocal structure. Exercises moved through musical improvisation, song, ensemble sound, and exploration of voice as a source for composition
